April Newton is the author and illustrator of 5 books, including Seven Spirits and Popcorn: The Wandering Little Lamb (Popcorn - Children's Book Series). In addition to writing, she enjoys spending time on her other passion: teaching the Love of Jesus at Kids Church. 

 April Newton lives in a quiet Ohio farming community, where chickens, grandchildren, and a bustling household keep life anything but dull. She’s a wife, mother of five, grandmother of six, and the founder of Newton Apple Books, a company dedicated to creating faith-filled books. “Stories that make you think.”

April serves as a Kids Church Pastor at her local church and is an author and illustrator, best known for her Christian children’s series, Popcorn the Wandering Little Lamb, inspired by Psalm 23. While writing Seven Spirits, she experienced what she describes as a supernatural encounter with the Lord. She believes the Holy Spirit led and inspired the story, giving her glimpses of His heart and direction far beyond her own imagination. 

Through humor and spiritual insight, April seeks to point readers to Christ, the true Author of her story. When she’s not writing or painting, she’s likely in the backyard feeding chickens, sharing stories and wisdom with her grandchildren, or jotting down her next God-inspired idea.
